I’m looking for a second car. Something cheap. Damned cheap. I don’t want to get into buying something used - too much trouble. I was thinking ‘Ford Festiva’, but I can’t find them on Ford’s site.
Testimonials welcome.

Festivas are defunked.
Kia seems to be the cheapest (but not US made).
I think the Festiva was replaced by the Aspire, but I don’t think it’s nearly as inexpensive.
Aspires are defunct now too.
I would agree with QuickSilver and say Kia. Probably the Rio. Although, my mother drives one and I wouldn’t very well recommend one.
Rumor is Ford is bringing back the Festiva.
How about a Chevy Aveo? Gotta think those are pretty cheap.
Yep, it appears I am right. You can get a brand new Chevy Aveo for $10K. Also, though, it appears you can pick up a Hyundai Accent for the same price. Not sure how the features stack up to each other, though. I doubt the Chevy comes with a 10 year warranty, so the Accent might be your best bet.
I just posted about this in another thread but I got a new Hyundai Elantra with A/C, power windows and locks, stereo, cloth seats for 9,500. It is much beter than the Accent which is really cheap interior wise.
I love my car.

I must admonish you for asking the type of question trademarked by Wesley Clark.
Think Korean.
This is my turf kids.
Buying used isn’t all bad. Get something 2-3 years old with under 40k miles on it and you shouldn’t have problems and it’ll be half the cost of a new vehicle.
I agree. My car buddies and I will drink a case of beer while debating used cars at a particular price point. You can do really well for about $10k.
