What's the closest existing place to Lothlorien?

Am asking for opinions and suggestions of course. Place, a little explanation, link with pictures. Thanks.

Did you perhaps mean Rivendell?

Here’s a treehouse village in Costa Rica.

Definitely thinking of Lorien. Those tree houses hit the spot but the tropical growth makes one think more of Mirkwood.

Do a google image search for “English beech forest” and see what pops up. That has always been my personal image of Laurelindorenan; open bright spaces, large straight-trunked tall shining green/gold trees, not much undergrowth, lots of stuff falling through the air like dust-motes or leaves catching and reflecting the light.

Rivendell I always thought of as a Japanese ryokan - secluded, a bit exotic, low-lying, hiding behind the trees and shrubs, bits of special-purpose buildings snuggled in all over the place, but everything connected to and open to the outside, with lots of wild-looking-but-obviously-manicured-to-an-inch-of-their-lives greenery.

Yosemite Valley does a fairly good Rivendell.
