The Eagles QB is said to have a “sport’s hernia.” How is that different than a regular hernia?
While flipping channels today I came across some football announcers who were joking about this and wondering whether a sports hernia was any different from an accountant’s hernia. You’re not alone in thinking this was a strange way of putting it.
When I had a hernia a few years ago, it was diagnosed as a sports hernia. When I asked why, the doctor just said that it was because I was young (20). Hernias in young people tend to be due to sports activities, hernias in middle aged people are generally just from wear and tear. Apparently.
Apparently a sports hernia makes you throw a football at Terrell Owens’ feet.
