What's the first thing you think of when I say the name "Morgan Fairchild"?

Hmmmmm. Helen Mirren has been a hot older woman ever since she’s become an older woman and Helen Mirren was hot when she was a younger woman but I’m not sure she was ever presenting that air of “hot older woman” before actually aging into it.

Here’s Helen Mirren at age 35. Same age at which I said Morgan Fairchild seemed like a hot older woman despite not really being old enough to be considered a hot older woman.
I might agree with you, but I’m not sure.

Yes, but also this, just a year later. *Excalibur *used make up, lighting, and an awful lot of soft focus to make her scenes dreamlike and youthful, which to me made them feel more creepy; I felt like they were trying to have a 40something play a 15 year old (although as you say, she was only 35 at the time.)

I thought of penguins, because I misread the subject as Morgan Freeman.
Once it was clear that Morgan Fairchild was being discussed, I remember finding her really hot in the 1980s, and I seem to recall she played a hooker who got gang-raped in an early (possibly the first) episode of the TV series Hotel.

Part of the humor was that he would tell people that he had slept with her and/or seen her naked only AFTER telling them that she is his wife.

And, yes, Jon Lovitz was the first thing that popped into my mind.

First thought: Who is Morgan Fairchild?

One of those names that is vaguely familiar, but no idea who she (he?) is.

“Patsy McClenny”. Her mom taught at my high school, and Patsy once left me a very nice note on the chalkboard.

Yeah, that’s the ticket!

I’m picking up what you’re laying down.

I liked Kay Lenz, too.

In Mark Rogers’ book More Adventures of Samurai Cat, Samurai Cat saves Camelot from the evil schemes of Mordred and his mother, Morgan Le Fairchild.

I remember her, but almost nothing she actually appeared in. She was hyped for a short-liverds night-time soap opera whose name eludes me.

Pee Wee’s Big Adventure and Roseanne are about all I’ve actually seen her in.

I totally forgot about the Jon Lovitz liar bit where he mentions Morgan Fairchild.

So, yeah, I think of. . . Morgan Fairchild when you say the name Morgan Fairchild.

  1. I think of the actress, Morgan Fairchild

  2. I get the Jon Lovitz joke

  3. My favorite Jon Lovitz character is Master Thespian

  4. I agree that Morgan Fairchild has never seemed like a dumb blonde to me, either in person or in her roles. She has generally played a smart, manipulative blonde.

  5. I nominate Glenn Close for the “always a hot older woman” club. In her first film (The World According to Garp) she played Robin Williams’ mother, although she was only 4 years older than him.

I know she was in several episodes of Mork and Mindy as Mindy’s Paris Hilton–type friend Susan, but the only one I really remember is the Christmas one where the characters gave each other presents:

SUSAN: (Opening Mork’s present) A saucer?

MORK: Mindy said you’d probably only appreciate something shallow!

My first thought: the Jon Lovitz bit.

Honestly? Those Old Navy ads she did several years ago. She looked pretty good in those.

The Seduction. First thing I thought of. Lovitz was second.
