I hadn’t considered the teenage nerd game gameplayers issue. I see where that could be a problem, as they’d migrate to other forums. I do think that most of them would be scared off by the subscription fee, though.
Perhaps we could try a game forum on a trial basis? Give it a couple months and see how it impacts the site as a whole?

I think it might be more of a sport.
I put up an occasional chess game thread - pure skill, comments, guaranteed ending.
I doubt teenage nerds would be interested!

It seems to me lumping the MPSIMS game threads and the nomadic sports threads into one forum would be a great idea, solving multiple issues at once.
Adding a forum is easy. Finding the [del]saps[/del] noble souls to moderate it will be harder. Thinking up the guidelines for the forum also.

They are not really game threads though, so I shouldn’t think so.
