I have only heard of excerpts of people who spoke at the rally before the event. Trump said “fight like hell” but also said no violence (at least in the clip I heard). Did anybody give any specific outcome that they hoped for as a result of the protest?

We’re here just very briefly to make a very important two points. Number one; every single thing that has been outlined as the plan for today is perfectly legal.
