What's the name for the style of rock masonry where the seams between the rocks are raised?

Much of the old rockwork in the US South (and maybe elsewhere, too) has distinctive raised seams like this (not the most artistic example, but it gives you an idea what I’m talking about).

I had it in my head that this style was called “Charleston masonry” or “Charleston rockwork,” but Google seems not to confirm this.

Does anyone know what this style is called? Or whether it even has a name?

It’s called a beaded mortar joint. I don’t know of its relation to Charleston.

OK. Thanks, yoyodyne.

That method was used in Stone Mountain, Georgia on several buildings around the city. The stone came from the Stone Mountain quarry. Thanks, yoyodyne!
