So, Dopers… I’m trying to parody this piece of classical music. I don’t know the title or composer.
As an example, let’s say I was writing another awful Taco Bell commercial by giving lyrics to a widely known, oft-spun violin piece. If you’re still with me an my unintended riddle, let’s say the lyrics were this…
Eat a tortilla!
Eat a tortilla!
Eat a tortilla…Maria…Conchita…
A–la-hon-zo…blahblahblahblah–nananana na-na…
You with me?
(duh-duh-duh-daduh!
duh-duh-duh-daduh!)
Err, could it be from The Barber Of Seville by Rossini?
If it’s the piece I’m thinking of, it’s the one that was in the Bugs Bunny/Elmer Fudd cartoon. I think it’s from the overture… Lemme go dig through my CD collection.
There was a different bugs and elmer, to the barber of seville. They did end up trying to kill each other. I seem to recall bugs rubbing some hair growth tonic into elmer fudd’s head which grew into flowers.
