What's the name of that classical piece by that composer I'm trying to parody?

So, Dopers… I’m trying to parody this piece of classical music. I don’t know the title or composer.

As an example, let’s say I was writing another awful Taco Bell commercial by giving lyrics to a widely known, oft-spun violin piece. If you’re still with me an my unintended riddle, let’s say the lyrics were this…

Eat a tortilla!
Eat a tortilla!
Eat a tortilla…Maria…Conchita…
A–la-hon-zo…blahblahblahblah–nananana na-na…

You with me?
(duh-duh-duh-daduh!
duh-duh-duh-daduh!)

Geez, what the hell is it !?!

Thank you.

Err, could it be from The Barber Of Seville by Rossini?
If it’s the piece I’m thinking of, it’s the one that was in the Bugs Bunny/Elmer Fudd cartoon. I think it’s from the overture… Lemme go dig through my CD collection.

Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries?

No, it’s not “Ride of…”

What I’m thinking of is faster.
Exciting!
uh…mega-sale at the mall!!!
0% financing!!!

Ya know?
we’re close, I can feel it…

I’m almost positive it’s the Barber of Seville you’re thinking of. Here’s a link to a cheesy MIDI version of the part in question, if you want to confirm.

Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. At least, that’s what I’m singing your lyrics to.

There should be a MIDI hear, but I have no sound on my computer so I haven’t previewed it:

That’s definately the part i was thinking of, peepthis

peepthis… cheesy, yes
correct, yes

you too, phraser…
although, i think the Bugs and Elmer was QEDs’ “Ride of the Valkyries” (kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit)

turns out, I came up with something else.
totally glad we got that figured out, though.

thanks!

There was a different bugs and elmer, to the barber of seville. They did end up trying to kill each other. I seem to recall bugs rubbing some hair growth tonic into elmer fudd’s head which grew into flowers.

Yes, and Bugs at one point sang,

*Come into my shop.
Let me cut your mop.
Let me shave your crop.
Daaaaiinnntily, daaaaiinnntily.

Don’t look so perplexed.
Why must you be vexed?
come on, son, you’re next.*
Yooouuuu’re next – yooouu’re so next!*
It’s one of my all-time favorites.

RR

*or something like that
