What's the name of this furniture concept

I need an option for shelving at the head of my bed, which is against one wall. The wall won’t take mounted shelves; so what I need is something like two up right poles that will fit between the bed and the wall, with footing at the bottom and shelves at the top. I’m certain someone somewhere makes something like this but I can’t find a search term for it. Anyone?

One option; shelving built into the headboard. Here are some options at Amazon or Wayfair.

Google “bookcase headboards.”

“Over Bed Shelf” is the closest thing I’ve found. Wouldn’t fit my setup but it sort of gives you the idea:

Why not just use a freestanding bookcase? Like an IKEA Billy or something. You won’t have access to the bottom shelf, but other than that it should work fine.

“Why not just use a freestanding bookcase”

Yeah, this is my first reaction, too. It also has the advantage that the shelves are behind the bed, not overhanging above your face, so you can have more shelves, starting lower. And you can sit up in bed without banging your head on a shelf.

Really I think “bookcase headboard” is it.

And they come with a variety of, uh, capacities.

Putting the shelves above the bed rather than behind it does have the advantage of being more space-efficient, though, if the OP is living in a tiny apartment or something (I’m picturing one of those IKEA “Living in 200 sq. ft.” displays).
