What's the oldest age you've been carded at?

I was carded today, at Applebee’s. And it made my day! I know I look a little younger than my age, but 20 years?!?! I thought the sever was joking when she asked for my I.D. When I told her I was 41, she was shocked. HEE!

I’m 40 and I get carded about every three months. I was just carded a week ago while purchasing cigarettes. Now that is funny, I know I look over 18. I just laugh…I think it’s hilarious. The funny thing is, up until I was 21 I was NEVER carded.

My dad was carded a few years ago for cigs. He’s 65 and looks it.

I know of an Ivy League professor who was carded while with European colleagues he was hoping to impress, when just short of his half-century. And he had no ID. Now that’s got to be embarassing.

I was going into pubs at 13, but an older mate of mine was carded at 41 or 42. It made his day. And he was going grey!

My dad is 44, and I’ve seen him get carded for beer. None of our friends, upon meeting the other one of us for the first time, believes we’re father and son. Most people assume we’re brothers until we tell them otherwise. It’s actually pretty funny.

That is, until I see him dating the girls I ought to be getting…

I’ve never been carded. I’m now 37. Won $250 playing poker in Vegas when I was 18. No one questioned it.

The day I turned 21, I went into the only liquor store in my college town and bought a bottle of tequila. I stood there talking to the owner as he rang up the purchase. He asked for the money and I just looked at him. “Aren’t you going to card me??” “DeVena, you’ve been coming in here for 3 years. Please don’t tell me you just turned 21.” “Lookie!! I’m Legal!!!” “Aw crap.”

22, but they were carding everyone and admitted they were obviously of age.

I guess the clerk thought he had a bad case of smoker’s face.

Well I am 33 and I got asked for ID for cigarettes last year but now that I’ve read this thread I don’t think it’s that exciting!

I once got carded for watching Y Tu Mama Tambian. The theater was only letting people age fifteen and up in.

I was 22 at the time.

I got carded for buying cigarettes, just after I moved to Florida. I was 39. I gotta tell ya, it made my day!

In Canada, the drinking age was 18, and I got into hotels at 14. I never got carded until after my 18th birthday.

I’m 37 and probably look older. I get carded here in Tacoma every time I buy a pack of cigarettes; I think it must be the law or something to card everybody, no exceptions. Once I said to the cashier how flattered I was to be carded, and she said “Oh, honey, I have to card everybody; I know how old you are.”

I was bemused when I got carded in the US last month when on holiday.
Looks like I wasn’t getting picked on after all.
(I’m 28)

This year, when I went to a Cardinals game, and the gate attendant wouldn’t give me my complimetary beer cozy without seeing my I.D.

I’m 27.

I get carded regularly, and I’m 26. I’m from Canada, so I’ve been legal to do everything since I was 19, though I’ve been carded by everyone, unless whoever was working went to school with me. When I moved out here to Seattle, where I know very few people, I’ve been carded for everydamnthing.

It’s part flattering  but part annoying

32 here. I had an incident about 6 months ago where I DIDN’T get carded, but it still gave me a laugh.

Brought a 6-pack up to the counter, started to flip my wallet open to my license, and the clerk, an older man, said “Nah, I can tell I don’t need to card you.”

“You’re buying Bass.”

I got carded at 29 which is pretty good 'cause legal up here is 19. 'course, I haven’t been recently

I’ve only been carded at 18. Which makes sense, because I’ll be 19 in a few weeks. Oddly enough I can remeber about half a dozen times, when I wasn’t carded, and, uh… oops. I think I’ve already said too much. Well, at least I can always move to Germany.

Jenaroph, that’s funny as hell!

I’m 33, and I don’t think I’ve ever not been carded. I fully expect the status to remain quo for a while.

I’m 26. I almost always get carded for alcohol or gambling. The person checking my ID often seems incredulous that I am the age I am. Have to start putting on my scowly face again, as it makes me look older.
