A draft of Patriot Act II, officially the Domestic Security Enhancement Act of 2003, was leaked last year. Has anything new happened with it? Or did it not get beyond the draft stage?
I may be wrong, but I don’t think it was ever officially proposed. A quick search doesn’t turn up anything too recent.

According to the San Antonio Current, part of it was signed into law on December 13, 2003. You may remember this as the day of the “We got him” announcement.
