Recently I visited the Royal Melbourne Show, and I got invited in to one of the display booths to take the “Eken Power Band test” (I had never seen nor heard of it before).
This test involved getting me to resist certain pulling forces that one of the Eken guys was performing on me. Each test was performed twice; one without me wearing the Eken Power Band, and then again while wearing it (the “power band” is just a small bracelet type thing with some small metal disks on it, worn around the wrist). While wearing the band, I appeared to possess an enormous amount of strength and balance that I didn’t have when I was wearing it.
The same two tests performed on me, and the same results, can be seen in this Youtube video. (That’s not me in the video, incidentally. It’s David Schwartz, a reasonably well known Melbourne radio personality).
When I asked the Eken rep how the “power band” worked, he told me that it works by absorbing radiation from mobile phones and TVs, etc, which would otherwise be affecting my strength and balance.
Now, I’m quite the skeptic, and I didn’t accept his explanation. However, I just can’t see what the “trick” is by watching the above video.
Any takers?
