Website here. They look to be some kind of alternative to the UN, but their website is so vaguely worded, that it looks like they could be supporters of anything, plus they seem to have been around since the 60s, but there’s obviously been continual revisions to their “Constitution” that aren’t tagged as recent additions (I don’t think that too many people were worried about CO[sub]2[/sub] levels in the Sixties.).
I work in foreign policy, and I’ve never heard of this. Looking at it, it appears to be a grassroots organization that is not connected at all with any countries or “real” international institutions.
That’s kind of what I figured. However, since one of the members, now deceased, had close connections with racist organizations, I’m wondering if this is another one, or something else.
My guess is there a bunch of people who’ve gotten fed up with the fact that the voters won’t elect them into any real government so they made up their own.
