I had a similar experience. In 6th grade, we went on a class trip to the battlefield at Antietam…with no previous instruction on why it was so significant. There were sixty 11 and 12 year olds walking around a field with no real context and no tour guide. I went back a couple of years ago, and it was fascinating!
While this doesn’t depict a school field trip, it did get the Rifftrax treatment.
