What's the worst thing that could happen if Bush/Kerry is elected?

I wouldn’t even say it’s a matter of “equal.” And if this were a fairly normal board, I would expect people to be hammering Kerry on the typical “blah blah blah” Massachusetts liberal type of things. You know, he let’s rapists out of jail who then go on to force Christian boys into a lifestyle of homosexuality that they can then have legally recognized in Massachusetts and the world is going to burn, that sort of thing.

Cthulhu for President?

Why vote for the lesser of two evils?

Bush: More war which leads to a draft. Thousands of young men die. The federal deficit goes up some more.

Kerry: We pull all the troops out of the countries we now occupy. Terrorists see this as a sign of weakness and decide to attack again given the lessened odds of retaliation. Tommy Thompson’s fear that someone has the small pox virus is realized - because it can be aerosolized they plant people pretending to be janitorial staff and strike crowded airports in 100 cities on the day before Thanksgiving. It has up to a two week incubation period, so people are highly contagious before they are symptomatic; given the scale of the infection it will probably be too late to immunize many exposed people after the first infected people become symptomatic since there’s a small window of time during which doing so is effective. No one under about the age of 35 who is not in the health or military professions is already vaccinated. 30% of US citizens between the ages of birth and 35 years die, many others are disfigured. With 30% of the current and potential workforce dead, not to mention that this is a big percentage of people who would be producing future Americans, there things happen. 1. Within 20 years healthy males under retirement age will be expected to work 80 plus hours a week to support the elderly (who, having been vaccinated are far more likely to survive a small pox plague. Even the CDC says they’re not sure if the vaccine becomes less protecting with time) and things like voluntary unemployment will be outlawed leading to jail terms or execution as a deterrent. 2. At the same time healthy children will be highly prized, which will imprison children from all potential harms, leading to a record number of mental illnesses and a whole generation of children who will put every other generation’s egotistical-ness to shame. 3. Women will be come second class citizens, and if they’re healthy and can produce children they will be expected to often. After a couple years of this there’s a revolt on a massive scale and the elderly are slaughtered in their beds.

Wait a minute. You’re saying a major health care crisis, an increase in the prison population, women losing their civil rights, and abortions being banned is the worst case scenario of a Kerry administration? What’s the equivalent worst case scenario for a Bush administration; confiscatory tax rates for the wealthy, runaway enviromental regulation stifling businesses, the repeal of the second amendment, and public schools being forced to promote homosexuality as a viable alternative lifestyle?

Who’s running on the Democratic ticket, John F. Kerry or a threadworn stereotype?

This response to my statement, which was clearly set out as listing the types of generic threadworn stereotypes I would expect were there actually many centrists or leftists on the board, proves exactly my point expressed early. Why don’t you try to actually read what is written, rather than skimming it, assuming it will fall into the neat little stereotype you expect it to fall into, and responding to the stereotype rather than what was actually written.

My god, actually trying to insult someone for posting something that is exactly what they said seriously suggests that you may be too stupid to live.
