What's Tucker Carlson trying to do?

I have serious doubts about this. I know the network says it was due to Stewart’s comments, but I find that almost unbelievable. I can not imagine the network getting rid of the show for any reason that didn’t boil down to finances. The network can say whatever they want to us about why they fired him, but we don’t have to believe them.

Is there any evidence Stewart’s comments affected the show’s ratings?

The only time Stewart is “unfunny” is when he doesn’t bother to try to be funny, as in the Cramer interview. But even then he’s still worth watching. Quite a comic talent, Stewart, able to play the comic or the straight man with equal facility, and usually in the same show.

So would I. Practically every pundit working would have been yanked off the airwaves years ago if complaints, lampooning, and proven errors were enough.

Last night he referred to Carlson for about 2 seconds while showing a clip of his argument with Cramer he said something to the effect of “Man, Tucker Carlson’s right about that Jon Daily guy!”. Great way of saying “yeah, I know” without giving Carlson air time.
