Did anyone else see this? I thought it was awesome! I loved it when Tucker asked him why he wasn’t being funny and Jon said something like “I won’t be your monkey.” For some reason it seemed like both Tucker and Paul were getting a little annoyed with Jon, Tucker more so. I can’t really put my finger on why that’s just how it seemed to me.
It was on today, I just caught part of it. John was calling Crossfire “political theater”, the Crossfire guys were pissed, it was pretty funny. No transcript up yet, but I’m sure they’ll post it in the next 24.
I’d suggest that those of you who did see it and found yourselves agreeing with Mr. Stewart, or those of you who read the transcript and find yourselves in such a position, to email Crossfire with your opinion.
The primary opinion I agreed with was that of changing Crossfire from a Knee-Jerk-Reaction show into an actual, real, debate show. If they get enough responses as such, at the very least they’ll have Mr. Stewart on. At the most, we’ll actually see a beginning to a change in the way Crossfire, and then such emulating shows, is presented. www.cnn.com/crossfire/
Novak wasn’t there, just the dork with the bowtie and the dork with the big forehead. Still, most enjoyable thing I’ve seen on TV in months, maybe all year.
[hijack] Why are shallots so much more expensive than their various oniony and garlicky relatives? I neevr see them at freestanding produce markets here, and rarely in the grocery store. And yet there are zillions of relatively straightforward, mainstream recipes that call for them.
