What's up with fixing sultantheme?

Thanks. then maybe I should try it again.

Funny thing is that the quote arrow appears fine for me with Sultantheme (Safari and iPhone X). It’s light grey in color so I guess it might be hard to see if your vision is poor, but I have no trouble.

One other point I’ll add, here: The moderation tools are difficult to use on a phone in the classic theme. I’ll grant that point. But at least some of them are completely impossible to use in Sultantheme. If I’m trying to close a thread, for instance, I’ll have to squint a bit to do it in classic, at least until I go to the bother of zooming the screen in. But if I try to close a thread in Sultantheme, I find that all of the options are perfectly readable, except that the button I need to push is off the screen, and trying to scroll to put it on the screen makes it disappear entirely. Impossible is not better than difficult.

Satan’s theme still has the forum jump always at the bottom of the screen. Auto-resizing of the text isn’t much of an improvement when you effectively make the screen smaller.

The second link looks perfectly fine to me. I don’t find anything unreadable about it.

I always read forums in landscape mode. It helps to have a big screen. Mine’s over 6" wide in landscape.

On my iPhone the text is far too tiny. My eyes are pretty good but it is uncomfortably small. Sultantheme makes the text about double size which is just about perfect.

I don’t have to. I read about a half dozen forums on a regular basis, and then countless others as drive-by visits (usually when I’m looking up information on something). Every forum looks fine in portrait on my device. But not SDMB in the original theme; it is uniquely unfriendly to mobile devices.

The bottom line is that those who say that “nobody” uses Sultantheme and it only exists to fulfill a bogus requirement for mobile compatibility are full of it.
