What's up with G'dope part 2

I’m getting something about a secretarial service when I go to

http://www4.tpgi.com.au/brownlee/

Do I have the wrong address or is something up?

And 2 seconds later it’s back tomorrow. I have NO idea what happened there.

Hey, I was there not half an hour ago…and also just about to post you the link in case yours had carked it…

Ah well, another night in cyberspace eh??

Oh, G’day Silent…how are ya??

Bad to NORMAL damnit.

Heya Kambuckta. Wassup?

BACK to NORMAL!!!

Spoonerisms come in twos.

Wassup?? Well, the Brissie Lions actually, 20 points in front of the Bombers!! Now 71 to 45…but I’m not complaining…nobody likes Essendon!!

G’day guys.

Here’s what happened. It wasn’t a case of cyber-squatting, or anything like that. TLD screwed up the webpage, is all.

:smack:

You lot have either been shown a page with nothing on it except “Bostock Secretarial Services” at the top, or a page with the same wording several times in different fonts. Bad weirdness either way.

Lemme 'splain. ‘BSS’ is my sister’s medical transcription business. She’s recently registered a domain name, and asked me to do the HTML for her. I decided to use some of my webspace for a test page. I was talking to her on Yahoo Messenger yesterday, FTPing files to my webspace, asking her to refresh her screen, getting her opinion of the colours etc, adjusting the HTML, FTPing the amended page, comparing notes again, etc etc. Unfortunately, I accidently uploaded her files to the main directory rather than the special one I had created for her, and as the page I’d done was called index.html, it overwrote the G’Dope homepage temporarily.

The weird part is, I noticed my error literally a few minutes after I’d done it, and I reinstated the proper G’Dope page straight away. I don’t know if there’s some weird cache stuff going on, but I tested my fix by refreshing the page from the site, and it came up ok. The fact that so many people have commented on it is odd (though I dream of such traffic on my site in a five minute window), so I’m at a loss as to why it didn’t change back quickly for some of you, but if y’all refresh the page, it should be fine now.

Apologies for the stuff up, and thnks to those who emailed me or posted here and on G’Dope to bring my attention to it.
