So what is this organization anyway? My Grandmother was a member, and she tried to talk me into joining that subersive group of World dominators the Masons, explaining that the two organizations were related. My mother tried to talk me out of having anything to do with the Eastern Star, saying it was actually a cover for Devil worship. Someone else told me it is actually the women’s auxiliary to the Klue Klux Klan. Finally, someone else told me it was simply an excuse for women to get together and get drunk once a week. So, unless this organization is composed of drunken Devil worshipping Klanswomen bent on world domination, at least one of these accounts is wrong. Does anybody out there know what the truth is?
And the Masons are not a “subersive group of World dominators”.
Go educate yourself before you toss out rubbish such as that.
Um, Spit?
I think he was kidding. Lighten up!
My grandfather is a Mason and my grandmother was a member of the Eastern Star. I’m not a member, but I truly believe that both of these groups are primarily for charity work and socializing.
Here’s a link to a Freemasonry FAQ.
And one on the Eastern Star
Wanna know how to piss of a Mason? Watch Sean Connery and Michael Caine in The Man Who Would Be King**, then quote some of the secret Mason sayings.
It’s actually an excellent movie; if you get a chance, take a gander.
That should be “piss off” and The Man Who Would Be King.
Preview, preview, preview!
The only people you might piss off would be some old Masons, (and stupid ones at that!) as anyone with half a brain knows the “secrets” are readily available at the Library of Congress.
Noooooooo…That’s not slightly biased is it?
Although to be fair, I once questioned my grandmother as to why the Mason’s were allowed to meet in the dining hall of of our church, as they seemed to be a “cult”. I really don’t remember the answer, (hey, I was 12) but I’m sure “hush up” was part of it.
I usually post this guys weird rantings on here, please don’t think I agree with him!
My parent/granparents were/are very involved in the Masonic orders. At least at their level it’s all social and charity work. Maybe once you reach the higher levels you learn the summoning rituals?
Although I was a little disturbed when my sister was inducted into the Jobs Daughters. Something about the white robes and lighted cross ceremony…
Interesting info. I had seen the symbol a few times and wondered what the hell it was. Seems like another fraternal organization to me! My Dad, who is 77 and a retired person, is/was a 33rd degree Mason. I never saw any weird shit. All of his friends and associates seemed to be of impeccable character.
He hasn’t participated (gone to a lodge) in probably 15 years?
I believe he was genuinely interested in the benevolent and philathropic aspects of the order as oppossed to any mysterious satanic rites or such.
