The strip is mean. There were some funny moments- in a mean and nasty way, but now the strip is JUST mean & nasty.
And I don’t mean “nasty” is a good way, either.
Unfortunately, it’s been around long enough that it has a core group of readers who whould complain even if the strip was pulled, no matter how bad it gets.
Call me goofy, but I like both the political and non-political stuff.
DrDeth, did you see Monday’s? That wasn’t mean, that was just great Huey-Caeser banter.
(Then again, I like their meanness*.)
I read a whole long profile of Condi at THE NEW YORKER and it didn’t mention anybody in her life, male or female. Got the strong impression that she’s married to her job, like Ed Koch or Janet Reno.
OK, the last panel of today’s–black Dopers, does the malt liquor signify something in particular, or is it just funny because hey, she’s so refined but she’s drinking malt liquor just like the stereotype!!
BOONDOCKS in general has not yet become the MALLARD FILLMORE of the left, but it’s getting uncomfortably close. A shame, I really liked it at first.
