Yes, it was on Spider Man and His Amazing Friends. I think it was the one where some half robot guy took over the x-mansion and did the old pick em off one by one by exploiting their individual weaknesses ploy.
It’d have to be tailored, but not by much. And hey, he’d have the ladies falling over him left and right.
Okay, I’m fine with the new timelines for the cartoons and films. But this has always annoyed me.
In the comics and IIRC-in the Fox cartoon, the adamantium is fused with Logan’s bones at the molecular level. In the films, he’s just got plates physically bonded to his bones.
If you’re just gonna put metal plates in, why do you need a superhumanly resistant subject? Why not just do a bunch of x rays, MRI’s, etc precision cast the plates to the subjects skeleton and attach them a few at a time over the course of years? Shouldn’t be that different from putting in an artificial hip or knee etc.
But if the process is some mad scientiest chemistry experiment in which you create a unique alloy which includes the subject’s bones, clearly you’re average human will not survive.
Back To The Question-
Either way, the adamantium is part of his bones. Unless he’s got some extra skeletal structures in his BVD’s, his testes would be vulnerable to attack.
Age Of Apocalypse-Never read any of it, but the ads showed a Logan who was missing a hand. This suggest that he would not regrow lost appendages.
Darkhold-(Minor Spoilers)Sabretooth greatly underestimates one of the protagonists. Louise is not just a college professor and occult expert. She’s used to facing superhuman opponents in battle. Sabretooth gives a standard ‘I’m the superhuman tough guy and I’m gonna kill you speech’. Louise responds by turning out the lights. She strikes a match. Sabretooth’s enhanced senses cause him to be blinded for a second or so longer than a normal human. The next thing he sees is Louise, holding a double-barreled shotgun inches from his crotch. “Heal this.”. From all indications, he’s healed the damage in hours.
RE-Boxers Or Briefs
Logan is a cigar chompin, hard drinken, who needs only his claws and wits to survive and flourish in the wilderness. I say he goes commando.
Kurt is a swash buckling charmer with a flair for drama and he knows how to please the ladies. I'm thinking thongs, French cut satin numbers and so forth. Though, he also occasionaly goes for an unfurnished basement when lover wants easy access.
Nightcrawler-The First Miniseries
After the Fuzzy Elf is accidentally dispatched to another dimension, Ilyana and Kitty struggle to retrieve him with the Danger Room computer. Their first attempt succeeds only in snagging his costume.
"Oh my god! Kurt's out there somewhere and he's giving a free show!"
Judging by the reaction of alien princess, IIRC Jinjavee, Kurt wears nothing under that costume.
RE-Wolverines bones
Implants of any kind can cause serious and possibly fatal health problem if the body rejects them.
RE-Kurt’s thong
Totally impractical for him because he has a tail. He would have to go with boxers worn backwards so he can stick his tail out the fly.
Kinda funny, I just recently saw this show for the very first time. It was when nightcrawler just joined. I’ve seen it a couple times actually, but never a full episode, just channelsurfing. I think it’s pretty good. The originals were better, though. I’ll start watching it now though.
Thus spelling his doom were he to ever fight Batman. After all, Batman knows more ways to kick someone in the crotch than any one else.
The fusing of the adamantium with his bones at the molecular level has not always been the way it was in the comics.
Back in the 1980s when I read X-Men (mostly old issues of X-Men from the 1970s that a friend of mine had accumulated over the years), I lost count of the number of times the authors explained that “strips of adamantium have been bonded to his bones.”
Okay, now I’ve gotta know:
Is his penis barbed, like his tail is?
Note that his tail isn’t barbed. Though the tip is flared, it is composed of soft tissue.
One would assume the same would be true of his strudel.
To me the interesting question is, is it just the tail that’s prehensile?
Was this ever specified? I always assumed it was formed by the last vertebra having ridges on it.
Sock Munkey-
Hmm, I’m not sure if it ever has been formally stated whether the tip is due to flared bones or is merely soft tissue.
Either way, I don’t think barbed is the right word. Clearly no bone protrudes through the skin. The tip has no visible spurs, horns etc.
This thread has devolved to absurd levels. But no one has been compared to a Naxi yet.
DocCathode and SockMonkey, you are like Hitler!
Not seriously.
I always assumed that Kurt’s tail had a tip that was catilaginous at most. But, now I wonder if Marvel has ever made a canon statement. EG
According the Official Handbook to the Marvel universe-
Angel isn’t just a guy with the wings. His bones are hollow. His musculature and metabolism also have avian characteristics that are not obvious.
Quicksilver obviously has legs that aren’t nomal. These are backed up by an equally superhuman cardiovascular system. His tear ducts also produce a fluid which will not evaporate or slide off while running at great speeds.
BTW-Smiling Bandit
You’re a Naxi
I called a Naxi cab once, but the driver couldn’t find my address.
Of course, he still doesn’t have enough lift to get off the ground, period.
Maybe its Maxiral, Maybe its Mabeline.
Last night’s was good and funny. I felt sorry for the Blob. It really showed how just being diffirent can set you up to be a bad guy. Also, a nice Trek reference.
I’m still waiting to see Scott Summers’ younger brother Alex blast something. Havok was my favorite X-Men character. So far, the only time I’ve seen Alex Summers in XME was in “Growing Pains”, and there he was a surfer dude who only talked about blasting things accidentally.
Yep. Honestly, if I could teleport, all I’d do is make star trek jokes too.
At least they make him flap to stay airborne, in other cartoons winged critters just hang there in the air slowly bobbing up and down.
Sig hiel!
He doesn’t show up much, but I think he’s in three episodes. In one of them you get to see him use his powers full throttle, and I mean FULL THROTTLE!
