What's wrong with the drugs?

Cecil mentions this in the link above, but I would think that lung cancer would be as great a risk for long-term marijuana users as it would be for long-term tobacco smokers. I mean, either way, you’re breathing in lots of smoke from bits of burning vegitable matter. That certainly can’t HELP anything, health wise.

…So I’ll just stick with abusing over the counter sedatives, thankyouverymuch. :wink:

(1) There is no book called “Blade Runner”; the movie is based on “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep”;

(2) It’s by Philip K. Dick, not William Burroughs.

Ummm, yes there is. “Blade Runner: A Movie”, by William S. Burroughs, published in 1979. But it has nothing to do with the Ridley Scott movie. Confusing, eh?

Yup, whichj I specifically stated in my original post “(the book apart from the movie)” meaning NOT THE MOVIE. Burroughs book is more of a 1984 kind of story. I think I read somewhere though that the “Blade Runner” name came from the Burroughs book.

True. Check the end credits. Actually, Alan E. Nourse wrote the original book in 1974. I’m assuming Burroughs wrote a screen adaptation.
