In spite of my first post, I have to agree that the Moodies had some great cover art.

I’m surprised that nobody has mentioned Brain Salad Surgery.

I’m surprised the Yes/Roger Dean fans haven’t checked in. Loudly.

  • Strange Days (The Doors)
  • Hot Rats (Zappa)
  • Rubber Soul (Fabs) interesting footnote for those who watched Inspector Lewis: Rebecca Front, who played Chief Superintendent Innocent, is the daughter of the man who designed the title logo on this album cover.

Honorable Mention:

  • One Size Fits All (Zappa), the BACK cover with Cal Schenkel’s amazing and hilarious Zodiacal chart.

Might not be “absolute” favorite, but I’m going to go with Fragile.

It’s special to me. I did a project in High School art class that involved it. Still hanging on my wall…

And as much as I love Drive-By Truckers, I gotta admit, their album covers kinda hit and miss. Some I really like, some I can’t stand.
