EDIT: I heard a rumour that buddy tried to duke it out with Tad’s vocalist over the issue, but that was probably just a rumour.
Sonic Youth also had some terrific album covers. Here’s one I actually owned.

As a longtime R.E.M. fan, this is my favorite album AND cover of theirs. 
Isn’t that just awesome? Damn! Makes me dip-shitty for a Mexican feast every time I see it!
