People will hate me for this (unjustified, as you’ll see by my explanation:)
I order a “trenta” sized beverage. Yes, the 916 ml sized beverage that is allegedly bigger than the average adult human stomach.
Even if I bought that criticism (which I don’t, I’m a large dude) - what I usually order in the summer is a trenta black iced tea, unsweetened.
Say what you will, but Starbucks’ iced tea is pretty tasty. I like it better than Caribou’s, which is the only other chain in the area. The iced tea and coffee that I like to order (unsweetened) are pretty much just water. Yeah, it has a “premium” cost (~$3 for water?!) but I’m not about to spend the time brewing or steeping it myself. And it is delicious. So hurrah for Starbucks iced tea and coffee!
The hot chocolate is the only thing I like there. My daughter tells me the Strawberries & Crème Frappuccino is very good but according to their website it has 450 Calories, Calories from Fat 150!
Another coffee hater here XD Green Tea Frappuccino all the way! I used to LOVE their Caramel Apple Cider drink until I saw them pouring it out of a jug of cider you buy in the store yourself. If I’m going to overpay for a drink, I’d rather do it in blissful ignorance tyvm.
We were at a convention in Arlington, VA in 2008 and there was a Starbucks kiosk in the lobby of the hotel. I spent way too much money on lite caramel frapuccinos. Way too much.
One acquaintance of mine has a conpiracy theory that Starbucks made Americans like dark/French roast coffee because it takes fewer beans to brew a cupful than it does to brew a cup of a lighter roast. Therefore, they use less beans and have a higher profit margin if their customers buy dark roasts.
As for me, my favorite drink at Starbucks is the croissants.
The only thing I really look forward to is the eggnog latte. The pumpkin latte is good, too. Once they are in season, I try to limit myself to one or the other every couple of weeks. Too expensive for me to make a frequent habit!
Medium pumpkin spice latte with skim milk, whipped cream, cinnamon on top. I could drink this every day and twice on Sundays, but I limit myself in season.
I don’t think I could pick just one. If I’m getting plain old coffee-flavored coffee, the new Pike’s Place is pretty good.
I like the various seasonal drinks, like the pumpkin spice latte and the egg nog.
Yesterday I had a coconut mocha frappachino that was incredible. I was going to just get plain old coffee, but it was hot out, and decided I wanted something cold.
