Plugging for a commercial site might be against board rules, but, ,
(w3) despair.com sells “Dilbert” type anti-motivational posters. I especially like the cards that you can send to someone when they’ve screwed something up good. Pretty funny if you’re bored. A friend bought the calendar last year and it was hysterical. And you don’t have to pay to look at 'em anyway. (my fave: note the sig) - MC

In the real workplace, my biggest demotivator is having my boss tell me something and later I discover that he was wrong or lying. I’ve had two supervisors like that when I was working in hotels.
With regards to the post, as a golfer, I love “INEPTITUDE - If you can’t learn to do something well, learn to enjoy doing it poorly.” I see and play with so many people who are so bad and yet they will not do anything to improve their game! I started out with the usual scores around the century mark. But I have worked on my game and I now shoot in the upper-70s to low-80s.
And if this 20’ of snow will ever get out of here, I’ll work to lower those scores!
When I worked in phone support, we all wanted APATHY. That cobweb-covered phone…hehehe
Since I left that office in August, the place has become, by new boss’s decree, COVERED in actual ‘motivational’ posters. They’re on every wall, plus a little desktop one on every desk.
That, to me, is obscene. He might as well whip his employees like horses.
