What's your favorite Disneyworld/Disneyland ride?

For me, it’s “It’s a Small World”. It’s so cute I just can’t help but love it.
What about you? What’s your favorite WDW/DL ride?

IDBB:D

I love the ride Pirates Of The Carribean !

Yo-ho-yo-ho, a Pirates life for me!

The gift shop just outside the ride has the second coolest stuff in all the Disney gift shops. First coolest is the China Pavilion’s at EPCOT.

I used to work for the Mouse in Florida.

“Pirates of the Caribbean” is the best for its combination of craftsmanship and humor.

The roller coaster type rides at Disneyland are all fairly similar IMO. Space Mountain is the fastest, Big Thunder Mountain has the nicest scenery, and the Matterhorn is a classic.

If you ever get to Disney Sea in Tokyo, the Stormrider simulator is great.

And at Disney’s California Adventure, “Soaring Over California” is great. Unfortunately, you have to see the rest of the park.

I love the Kilamanjaro Jungle Safari at Animal Kingdom, especially if you go early in the morning when the animals are very active. Close seconds: Star Tours at MGM Studios and Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom.

Honorable mentions due to recent changes: The new Winnie the Pooh ride at Magic Kingdom is delightful. [Eeyore voice] “First the wind, and now THIS.”[/Eeyore voice].

And now that they’ve brought Figment back, the Journey Into Imagination at EPCOT rates pretty high too.

All of 'em.

I wanna go back!

In Southern California, the heat can make the fun a bit sweaty, and the air down there at the bottom of the waterfalls is always cool and moist.

As a child, I very often had dreams about certain rides like Mr. Toad, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, wherein I would get out of the Doombuggy and discover parts of the ride that no one else knew about, though I wisely never attempted that in RL.

Okay, I don’t think I can narrow it down, so I’ll do it by park.

Magic Kingdom - Tie between Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion. Both are kitschy as hell, but have a certain charm to them that I can’t deny. When I think of Disney World, I think of these two rides.

EPCOT - Actually, I like Spaceship Earth a lot as a ride (except for the fact that it stops for like 15 minutes every time I ride it). I love the trip through history - it’s really well done. I also like Test Track quite a bit, but SE is still my favorite. And I love the World Showcase.

Disney MGM - Tower of Terror! I’m actually not that big of a fan of the drops. They’re cool and all, but the buildup is just so cool! Honorable mention also goes out to Rock’n’Roller Coaster. Road it four times in one day when I was there in September.

Animal Kingdom - It’s Tough to be a Bug movie - that’s just fun!

I’ve only been to Disneyland once and that was when they were still building the California Adventure, so I can’t comment on that. And the Magic Kingdom there isn’t appreciably different enough to affect my choices of rides there.

Yep, I’m a 25 year old guy… and I love Disney World. Of course, it doesn’t help that my older brother lives in Celebration, so I can visit for cheap any time I want to…!

The teacups!
I still giggle like a little kid after a spin on the cups.

How can we have gotten this far without mentioning the Indiana Jones ride? It kicks some serious booty. The part with the projections of the spiders, and the millions of things you think you’re going to run into, wow. Must go back…

This is really hard for me to decide. I’ll also do it by park:

Magic Kingdom - Splash Mountain. I just love singing Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.

EPCOT - I liked the old Imagination ride better, actually. Test Track was fun, if a bit short. Honorary mention goes to the German Biergarten, where we celebrate Oktoberfest all year round!

MGM - Tower of Terror for thrills and the Muppets for laughs. I was peeved they cancelled the Hunchback Show which was my favourite.

Animal Kingdom - I second the Safari ride. Honorary mention for Only Ride at Disney I did not manage to open my eyes at all in because I was so damn scared[sup]TM[/sup] goes to Dinosaur!, by the way.

But I think overall it’s the Tower of Terror. Especially in the evening, when there’s not so many people and the atmosphere in the hotel is really eerie.

I loved California Adventure, (even though it’s still small) and flipped over “Flyin’ over California” (or whatever the exact name for this ride is). It is a very real feeling. And they “fly” over Yosemite! So I’ve gotta love it. (Besides, hunky actor Patrick Warburton does the “hosting” or narration for the ride. What’s not to like?)

Oldies but goodies: Pirates of the Caribbean, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Matterhorn, Splash Mountain, Star Tours, and whatever panorama 360 degree film they’re showing. (OK, I can’t remember the name of the feature, but I ALWAYS love this. I feel like I’m there.) I also miss the “buckets”—you know, the buckets that were suspended over the center of Disneyland, and you get to look down on everything beneath you? They’re gone now, but I loved 'em. It was a mandatory ride on every Disneyland trip. Oh, and the train. Gotta do the train. Another mandatory ride. (Not to be confused with the Monorail, which is also cool, but not the train.)

Man, these all bring back such good memories. I grew up going to Disneyland. Disneyland on Christmas Eve: every kid’s dream! I loved it.

Disneyland: Gotta love Space Mountain - especially when the music track is on in your car…synchronized perfectly with the ride - WOW!!!

Indy Jones is way cool - last time I went in early January the crowd was so small we rode it 3 times in a row with nary a wait.

Of course, Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the carribean are always fun - especially riding with people who know the entire soundtrack by heart. Same with Jungle Cruise…suggest new jokes and puns to the boat drivers.

I’ve been to Epcot and Disney-MGM only once, and it was back in the late 80s - but I seem to recall I enjoyed Spaceship Earth at EPCOT and the movie ride at MGM. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere at the Prime Time Cafe (I don’t know if it still there, though)

Pirates of the Caribbean is wonderful. Did you know it was the inspiration for the Monkey Island games?

Space Mountain in Euro-Disney is fantastic - a strong Jules Verne theme, with the most energizing initial start. You shoot up, asi fout of a cannon, to start the ride.

Cripes - that’s AS IF OUT OF A CANNON, sorry…

The ones I must go on multiple times are Space Mountain and the Jungle Cruise.

“OK, folks, now wave to all the pretty people back on the dock! Now wave to all the ugly ones!”

–ME TOO!I loved the Skybuckets and was really upset when they removed them from service.Grr.

The Jungle Cruise is my favorite, and I liked that fact that last summer our boat captain referred to the ride next to it as “Indiana Jones and the Four Hour Line.”

I love Splash Mountain for the combination of story and a little bit of thrill, and I also love the classics, Pirates and Haunted Mansion.

In Epcot, my favorite used to be “It’s Fun to Be Free,” but they replaced it with “Test Track” :frowning:

In the Studios, I like the 3D Muppet Movie and Star Tours.

I haven’t been to Animal Kingdom yet, but I’m going in November!

Tower of Terror. I hate heights and I wanted to go on it again.

[Sub]Of course, standing in line for a second time, I began to wonder why…[/sub]

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. Especially the part when you’re killed.
