Whats your favourite band???

Any type of band. Just dont write ANYTHING I MEAN ANYTHING about Backstreet Boys. I hate them with a passion, but thats just MHO. If you do write like Backstreet boys just dont reply.

BTW i like Shaggy and Blink-182.

but thats just MHO…

Goose Creek Symphony

Powderfinger - They’re Australian, so don’t sweat it if you haven’t heard of 'em, just go buy the MI2 soundtrack and appreciate the longing for a break from the mundane world that is “Not My Kinda Scene”

sighs dreamily And Ian … oh my.

Hey, I saw them last night. They were awesome! The Meter was absolutely stunning.

Sorry for the hijack.

Oh, um… Concrete Blonde.

Yes! I saw them in Chicago and … mmmm … they were great!

Being a 'cellist I had a slight bitch that they played the 'cello part of The Metre on guitar … :frowning: But it was a tiny little stage … mmm and I was all of 8 inches away from them … and I gave them Tim-Tams so it was all good

The Metre happens to be my favourite song by them - of course I’ve only heard what’s on Odyssey #5, and a few tracks from Internationalist and maybe one from Double Allergic, since you can’t buy their CDs here :frowning:

Can’t name a favorite band…might be able to narrow it down to top 20 or so…(which I won’t do here)…

But my favorite artist is definitely

John Prine

Frank Zappa
Jeffeson Airplane
Grateful Dead
The Beatles
The Who

It’s hard to pick just one.

I kinda like The Eels right now… I mean, the names cool and all :stuck_out_tongue:
Just kidding…
Custard were my favourite band for a while, but they broke up… so they can’t really be anymore!

Led Zeppelin

XTC

The Beatles are my all-time favorite.

But there’s so much great music out there, it’s really hard to limit the choices.

Sheri

Better Than Ezra…Hands down.

They are one of those bands that no one knows, until you play one of their songs, then it’s “oh YEAH, I like them”.

If you don’t know who they are, check 'em out at CDnow.com Song #2.

Plato? Aristotle? Socrates? Morons!
~Blame 'cause we are, who we are… -Better Than Ezra

Crowded Houseand related music: neil finn, split enz, etc
and
Failureand related music: on and autolux

I like Live and Nickelback at the moment.

The Gourds. Hard to pigeonhole–roots rock, some twang, some folky-type stuff, and spiced up with everything from Irish to Cajun.

Bob Schneider. Lonelyland was one of those albums that come along once every several years that redefines what you’re looking for in music.

The whole Uncle Tupelo/Wilco/Son Volt thing. Wide range of great music, but it’s hard to keep up with where everybody keeps going.

I’ve got a lot of bands that I would put right up there, and they’d all be dead-even.
But my first choice would always Satanic Surfers.

Better Than Ezra
The Beatles
The Eels
Stabbing Westward
U2
The Marvelous 3
Flogging Molly

I can’t pick just one.

Green Day
Tool
A Perfect Circle

Can’t really narrow it down anymore than that.

If I had to go for just one it would have to be U2, I don’t think I will ever get tired of listening to them.

NOFX (with the Dead Kennedy’s a close 2nd)
