Not like anyone cares, but I just felt like sharing this …
I finally burnt a CD of my Napster acquisitions, and I’m totally rocking out to it as I type. I got a bunch stuff that either a)I used to have and lost to the Great Yardsale of '99 or b)always wanted but never got. Here is the line up:
Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey - P. McCartney Junior’s Farm - P. McCartney Doctor My Eyes - Jackson Browne Saturday in the Park - Chicago Point of Know Return - Kansas Seasons of Wither - Aerosmith Roller - April Wine Slow Ride - Foghat Pride and Joy - Stevie Ray Vaughn My Sharona - The Knack Fat Bottom Girls - Queen Jerry Was a Race Car Driver - Primus Tommy the Cat - Primus Super Bon Bon - Soul Coughing Tomorrow - Silverchair Battle of Who Could Care Less - Ben Fold’s Five If I Had a Million Dollars (live) - Bare Naked Ladies Stickshifts and Safety Belts - Cake Asshole - Denis Leary
I even made a cool case and CD label for it. It looks like an album called “Mish-Mash” put out by that famous recording artist Jack Batty.
I haven’t burned it yet, but this is my Ultimate Television and Movie Instrumental Extravaganza!
(Add “The Theme From” in front of all.)
Jaws
The Exorcist
Mannix
Miami Vice
S.W.A.T
Sienfeld
St. Elsewhere
Star Trek- The Original Series
Taxi
Hawaii 5-0
The Pink Panther
2001: A Space Oddessy
Chariots of Fire
Mortal Kombat
Still looking for I Dream of Jennie and Switch.
Heywould Jablowme. I’m typically on during the day, T1 connection with no limit on DL (but I’ll IM and lambast ya if you’re going for more than 3 at a time). Lot of TV and movie themes, especially funky 70s ones. Also there’s an eclectic mix of reggae, rock, rap, comedy, and banjo music.
If anyone has an MP3 of Hoyt Axton’s Mitchell (as seen on MST3K) I will be forever indebted to you. Seriously.
biggirl, you’re welcome - I’m glad you figured out how to use it ! By the way, sorry about the other night … I noticed you were downloading something from me but my computer froze - sorry! Nacho4Sara, you’re so lucky that your songs ddownload so fast! It takes me between 20 minutes and 1/2 an hour to get one!
You just wouldn’t believe how many Dire Wolfs are on Napster. Bunch 'o schmucks, I say. Fine, then, let’s go latin.
EHHHHHHH. Sorry. There’s a bunch of Canis Dirus’s on Napster, too. So, I settled on…
CanisDirus69
I’ve got a cable connection, and most of my stuff ranges from jazz to jam bands, classic rock to alternative. My PC is on all the time, so you’re all welcome to drop by whenever you’d like. It’s a new PC, so I’m still loading stuff that I had backed up on CD-R.
Look for Zenset. In my library you’ll find these artists:
Pentangle
John Renbourn
Bert Jansch
Johnny Winter
Edgar Winter
Jeff Beck
Cream
Jimi Hendrix
JS Bach
Jean Pierre Rampal
Jorgen Ingman
Davy Graham
Yes
Rory Block
Spike Jones
Frank Zappa
and more…

I used to have a ton of crap, but I keep having to fdisk my system for some reason… hmmm… maybe that would explain my favorite nickname – you think?
So if anyone is interested in Gregorian Chants and Barbershop Quartets, I AM system_hoser on Napster. My brother took my first name choice: govt_cheese. He’s always been an a-hole…
I reccommend downloading John Otway’s song Headbutts.
My user name on Napster is neptune_1984 and I don’t have many files because I deleted a whole bunch. Mom was complaining about how much “junk” I have on my account. Sigh. I’m not on Napster much anymore because over the last six months I’ve had it, I’ve already downloaded all the songs I like. Plus, it’s really slow for my ol’ Dial Up. When I get a cable modem, I will be on more.
My handle is maverickpopo. All the popokis were taken! The nerve.
I second your motion, Swimming. It’s nice when the powers that be let maccies play too.
Homer was taken (obviously) so I’m homer7881. I’m on cable, so don’t worry about draggin me. I’ve got about 900 here, and about 1200 on my home connection. Take what you like. It’s eclectic.
I have a wide range of songs because I’m constantly deleting songs and adding new ones, plus my dad uses my Napster name so you’ll find alot of Jim Reeves, Eric Bogle and stuff like that in there.
But my music is mostly of The Cure, Switchblade Symphony, NIN, Skinny Puppy, Garbage, New Order, Morrissey, London After Midnight, Pearl Jam, Razed In Black, Tool, Velvet Acid Christ and lots of other ones.
My Napster name is Zaxxer, and I’m usually on in the evenings . . . as in after 8:00 pm PST. At least on weekdays, weekends I have no real schedule.
But . . . I have a DSL connection and a library of some 845 songs on-line currently. Unfortunately this will be changing soon 'cause I only got 487 MB left on a 6GB system. My new game does not play properly.
For now, though, I have …
Tom Lehrer
Bessie Smith
Ella Fitzgerald
Cab Calloway
Yngwie Malmsteen
The Electric Prunes
Ozzie Osbourne (including the duet w/Dweezil Zappa)
Wierd Al (of course)
Jim Croce
Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper
Kevin Bloody Wilson (not for the innocent)
Shel Silverstein
As well as all the top 40 stuff of past and present that I wouldn’t waste $17 and up buying. I just listed some of the more eclectic stuff.
