What's your "NOW it's Christmas" song?

This song will never be at the top of my list of favorite Christmas songs, but I do love it very much and to me, there would most definitely be an unfilled in blank if I didn’t hear it at least once during Christmas time. Go here for the video that was made for “Leroy The Redneck Reindeer” from country singer Joe Diffie.

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly

Yep. So for me, it was officially Christmas yesterday evening in a novelty shop.

Oh man…when I hear ol Bruce Springsteen’s gravelly old voice come on the radio and sing Santa Clause is Coming to Town…oh man…thats where its at. And I normally don’t get into the Christmas spirit, but holy crap does that song just hit home for me.

Exact same thing happens with Lennon’s Happy Xmas (War is Over)

Anything by Boney M

Cheech and Chong - Santa Clause and his Old Lady

+1 Although I haven’t heard it in years! :frowning:

I was going to “ditto” the Lennon one but I think you’re right – Springsteen belongs in there too.

"O Holy Night" the Mariah Carey version will do nicely. B side - “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” by whomever.

Dominick the Donkey by Lou Monte. Cracks me up every single time.

For me, it’s not Christmas season until I have to frantically turn the radio away from the awful crooning of Christmas Shoes.

A Holly Jolly Christmas

I was at a bar/restaurant last Friday, and the background sound system was playing a somewhat familiar tune. I had to strain to pick out the words, over the noise in the building. It was “Christmas Wrapping,” but it was a cover.

How can anybody cover perfection? Heresy, that’s what it was. I have no idea who was singing it, or what vile pit of iniquity the recording came from. I was too shocked to discover anyone other than The Waitresses had ever recorded that song.

So, yeah. That’s a good one. Also “Carol of the Bells” says it’s Christmastime, to me.
