WHAY???? I'm the first one up MMP?

The Weathermen? :dubious:
I thought they all grew up and began selling aluminum siding.

Coconuts don’t but swallows do.

Carrying it by the husk?

It’s not a question of where he grips it! It’s a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut.

Howdy Y’all! We have deheathenated, had brunch and chilled. Except I also made beef/veggie soup. I got it goin’ this mornin’ in the slow cooker and now it’s all done and smellin’ nummy! OYKW has been doin’ laundry and is comin’ back in a little while to have soup ‘n cornbread for dindin. I’ll get the cornbread goin’ when he calls to let me know he’s headed to da cave. 'Tis a damp and chilly 52 Amurrkin out. Soup 'n cornbread will be just the thing. YUM!

It could be carried by an African swallow.

and you give me a hard time about my innocent questions.

Perhaps if it gets enough speed it could. What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

African or European?

We ordered pizza for supper, from the imaginatively named Pizza Pizza. It was good but I could only finish half of mine, so I’ll eat the rest later.

We had chuck roast, smashed N.O.T., and corn. We’s both stuffded.

It’s still rainy outside, and slippery. Things should be interesting when **FCD **leaves in the morning. Once he gets to the main road, he should be OK, but I suspect our drive is mega-slick.

One day closer to spring, right? <sigh>

Drove around for while in the freezing rain capturing video of the nasty roads. The highways looked just wet, yet when you glance at the front of your vehicle and see the coating of ice growing you know something is wrong.

Also the trees had quite a coat of ice when I came home two hours ago. Going to be a long night…

Flytrap doesn’t know.

Dinner is cooking: Parmesan Herb Crusted Chicken, sage rice, and sauteed asparagus with garlic and tomatoes. I made herbed sourdough toast for appetizers.

I don’t know
: flings Flytrap into the Gorge of Eternal Peril in my stead :
:D:D:D

African swallows aren’t migratory. Maybe two of them could carry it together slung somehow under the dorsal guiding feathers.

In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings forty-three times every second, right?

Soup 'n corbread was teh num! Now it’s time to lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

I fixed country ribs with Sis’ infamous peanut butter and jelly sauce (don’t judge), slaw, sweet N.O.T.s, and steamed cauliflower. 'Twas declared good by my neighbor and myself.

2Gig I used to have to go out in this mess when I delivered papers. We never got a night off no matter how bad it was, show up for work or get fired.
I guess the police or somebody said something to the sun paper because they rules have changed.
The customers never understood, I got 12 cents to deliver their paper, but if I got stuck on their street it cost me $25 to get somebody to pull me out. Simple economics to me, I’m not driving down any street where I’m going to get stuck.
One man called me assured me I could get to his house - last house on a rural dirt road. He said the mail lady had no problem. Then he adds but I’d don’t know how you are going to get back out since there is no place to turn around.
I told him I’d leave his paper on the main road by the street sign.

I feel for you, having to be out in this crap sux.

That’s all folks!! Time to recline what’s left of the evening.

MWAH!

A bone-in skin-on chicken boobie is hanging out in the toaster oven with its good friend Lotsofbutter. I’m going to mess around with paint and brushes and other implements of destruction as I have a mirror with a plain, boring frame that I have decided needs painting. I’ve strung what’s going to become a gorgeous bracelet if I do say so myself - a 3-strand cuff of jasper beads in soft multicolored streaks of gray and rust and olive and cream - but I’m teaching myself as I go along, which is a tactful way of saying I don’t know what the hell I’m doing, so I’m going to undo and restring it AGAIN tonight, as I don’t like the way the spacer beads got pushed around out of alignment. Then I gotta figure out a clasp or closure, since it opted against stringing it on elastic.

These jasper beads are one of the ones I was most excited about ordering, and while these and a coupe of others have gotten here, the amethyst and white turquoise I’ve been looking forward to seeing, using, and wearing are certainly taking their sweet time. Well, they’re rowing over from china, and I guess it is nice to keep having a reason to check the mailbox.

Gotta get my kitchen cleaned back up and run the vacuum either tonight or else on Extremely Soon Day as my parents have been out of town and will be back this week and I know the first thing my mother will do is come over. They had brilliant timing and have been in Florida visiting various friends in various warm, beach-filled cities while the rest of us have been shivering our collective tailfeathers off, damn them, and are bringing me back a few seashells to decorate my plants.

Jeez, shoe, I got tired just reading your post.

Who’s starting us off in the morning?
