Wheee! Look, ma, I can fly!

A former Navy pilot is about to test the prototype for a personal flying machine. How cool is that! I would love to have one of these things so that I could fly with a real bird’s-eye view of neat places like the Palisades cliffs & New York Harbor… of course, it would be a blast buzzing all the cars stuck on the GW bridge at rush hour, too. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wonder what you could do to avoid a mid-air collision with a Canada goose at 80 mph, though.

Ooh. Where’s the waiting list?

Seriously, this would be fun. Learning how to fly it might scare you to death, tho.

That thing looks like a gas! I would love to try it out. I just don’t think the average citizen will get the opportunity to own one. I wonder what the FAA stance on personal flight will be. How long before you’ll need a “flight” endorsement on your license? Will the police want to outlaw these: John Doe robs bank and escapes using a low level flight pattern at 80 mph. Maybe it’s big brother paranoia, but don’t see the government letting this go public without a fight.

I concur SN. I doubt these will be available anytime soon. But, when they do…I’m so there!

Nahh…I want a Moller Skycar.
