Wheel of Fortune 1/26/2009

The winner of tonight’s Wheel was a gay man wearing a wedding ring and congratulated by his husband. Unfortunately, my wife and I missed all but the tail end of the episode, was the other man introduced as his husband during the “who’s here cheering for you” segment?

Does that segment come right at the beginning, or is it into the show a little bit?

Wheel just started here, so I can watch unless it happened during the first 3 minutes.

Wow, Pat’s lookin’ old.

'Probably too late to tell you this, but it’s toward the end. After the regular rounds and when the winner is being introduced for the final puzzle.

Well, I’m still watching. They’re about to go to the final puzzle now.

He said, “that’s my fiance, Chuck.”

Well, damn, good for Wheel of Fortune! Oh, and congrats Chuck and (the winner guy)! I hope you guys live in MA or got the ceremony done in time.

Thanks KneadToKnow! Sorry if you had to watch an unwanted show, but I do appreciate the answer!

Happy to help.

Next time, maybe you could have a question about a scantily-clad redhead, though?

He’s not looking bad for 62.

Now the real question… Is he or isn’t he?

(From here)

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire had a female contestant from California who was hoping to use her prize money to remodel their home for her handicapped wife.

At the beginning, in the introductions, the contestant said he was engaged to a “wonderful person.” That made us wonder if that person might be a man. Then when he won it was confirmed.

I wondered until the guy spun the wheel and spoke. He’s gayer than a purse full of rainbows. If he had introduced a woman as his fiancee at the end, then I would have been surprised. But yeah, good forward-thinking moment for such a staid old game show.
