Wheel of time movie

Does anyone know any truth about the reality on a wheel of time

I thought it had been established to be a flat circle.

It’s more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly… time-y wimey… stuff.

I’m guessing the OP means a film of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time Series.

Universal Studios optioned the rights but it hasn’t got past the development phase.

There was a fan film of Chapter 32 (Flight from Shadow) from *The Eye of the World *released last year.

For all these years of reading wheel of time, anticipating a film. That fan movie first 3 minutes was like a bullet going through my head exploding my skull in slow motion and then being hit in rewind, while every tine piece of skull had to be fused back together.

I will taint myself no more

Didn’t Rand clean the taint?

I think he had so many girls to do that for him

The truth is that any movie, no matter who did it or how much money it was given, would be horrible.

two ways the movie could be made.

  1. Dungeons and Dragons : Return of the King (Jason Statham)
which is like what that fan movie was giving me.
    conclusion: Lame

  2. Robin Hood (2010) : (Russel Crow)
Which would be like, incorporating the personalities, to the scenery, to the major engagement RIVETED.
conclusion, there is no end, the wheel turns and yarrrrrr

Are…are you posting from a universe where Peter Jackson made a big-budget trilogy of movies based on Dungeons and Dragons, starting Jason Statham? Because that would explain a lot.

Honestly, the series is too long.

It’d require a* Game of Thrones* style TV treatment to do right, but it’d also need a lot of editing, especially in the middle of the series when the books start to drag.

Dungeons Siege, the movie Jason Statham was in. had a very GIMICKY association to the scene play. It would need to be more articulate, like… Robin Hood. Only to its style and basis.

He’s talking about this execrable Uwe Boll movie.

Yep, the series was too long, had too many characters, and jumped all over the map. Even the most dedicated and expensive attempt at putting it into film or television would be a nightmare to present even just the necessary information to an audience.

First multiple frame movie playing at once?

Hell, I just re-read the last three books (which I loved), and I *still *needed to check the WoT Wiki on a regular basis to remember who did what in the where now.

(Although skipping four books in the middle may have contributed to that).

Doubtful.

Yeah, from what I can tell nothing really happened in books 8 through 11. That’s why I skipped them.

I would have said the same thing about Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones before they were made. Granted I don’t think WoT is as well written, or as adaptable as those works, but I’m willing to be convinced. There is solid material there, it just needs the right treatmernt.

Someone took a bath, for most of a book. Cadsuane, maybe? So that happened.

I can’t see anyone making movies out of this series; how could they possibly expect to get all the hairbraid-pulling and skirt smoothing accurate enough for the fans to accept?
