When brushing your teeth...

It seems we’ve missed a few important poll options:
Rinse using a non-disposable cup
Head directly under faucet
Rinse in shower
Suck water off toothbrush

FWIW-I do the last one. Rinse toothbrush, suck water off, spit, then rinse toothbrush again. However, I also drink bottled water at bedside.

I can’t rinse, I use Sensodyne. You’re not supposed to rinse or drink water for half an hour after brushing with it, so it can fill the microholes in your teeth or something.

I cup both my hands under the water. Whenever I’m at other people’s houses and they have Dixie cups, I feel like I’m in a hotel or something.

I’ve never heard of sticking your head under or not rinsing. The first one makes sense if you have a tall tap - with my sink, it’s impossible to do. Not rinsing would squick me out, because of the residue taste and all the dirty gunk still in your mouth.

I used to brush, spit, wash off the toothbrush, put the toothbrush away, then use my hands to cup water for rinsing, then turn off the water.

However, due to the severe drought in CA, I felt bad letting the water run while putting the toothbrush away, so instead, I use a cup to reserve rinsing water, then turn off the water, put the toothbrush away, and then rinse with cup water. I’ve been doing that about a year now.

Me too. I always imagine there’s classical music playing in the background as I’m swishing around.

It’s ironic because one does not normally associate Dixie Cups with upper crust society.

I pee in my mouth

Yeah. I use a red cup we got when we went to the opening of Sesame Place in Langhorne PA about 35 years ago. Great cup. And I put it in the dishwasher every six months whether it needs it or not.

I never get much water when I use my hands, and I couldn’t get my head under the faucet.

I guess that’s when morning wood comes in handy.

If it’s in the morning, I brush while in the shower. So rinse is a momentary yawn into the stream. In the evening, I rinse with a swig of whitening mouthwash.

I have a stemless wine glass from a special event swag bag that fits in the medicine cabinet perfectly. So I use that occasionally, especially when I want to rinse the sides of the sink every couple days. Otherwise I tend to just do the bristle transfer, I get plenty of water to swish that way. I also use SLS-free toothpaste that doesn’t get so gross and foamy and is easier to rinse anyway.

LOL. I get those kind of questions through my mind during my sometimes mundane days.
Speaking of which I just had Tex-Mex. Must brush soon. If my hands are clean, works for me.
