Do you brush your teeth in the shower?

Poll to follow.

I don’t do this, but I’m aware that some people do.

No, but back before my beard I used to shave in the shower.

Of course I do. Saves time in the morning, and lets me enjoy another couple minutes of hot showery goodness.

Somehow, the idea of a mixture of toothpaste and spit swirling in the water around my feet just doesn’t do much for me.

I don’t like brushing my teeth with hot water. I shave in the shower, though.

I don’t, but I don’t think it’s crazy. My spousal unit has a special gizmo in the shower to hold his toothbrush, but I prefer the old sink-side method.

It’s not all that practical unless you are set up for it. I would have to either hold the brush during the entire shower, get out and drip water to the sink and back or balance the brush on one of the level surfaces and remember to put it back. Now if the sink was close enough that I could reach it from the shower I might on occasion

I brush my teeth when I first wake up, and then again at the end of the day after dinner.

In the morning, I never brush in the shower because I usually work out in the morning, and therefore don’t shower until about two hours after I get up. I have no intention of walking around with morning breath for two hours.

In the evening, I often shower while my husband is cooking dinner, in which case I don’t brush my teeth in the shower because it seems silly to brush my teeth right before I eat. I’ll eat dinner and then just brush at the sink.

But if I eat dinner before my evening shower, then I pretty much always brush my teeth in the shower.

Do the shower teeth brushers keep an extra toothbrush by the sink to use for times when you are not taking a shower?

I used to. Any excuse to stay in the hot shower on a cold morning a little bit longer was a good one for me.
But now I have a fancy pants Sonicare tooth brush along with an Air Pick. So now my pearls get the royal treatment in front of the bathroom sink.

No, but I do prepare dinner in the shower sometimes.

Hee. Have you installed a Clarkman?
I said it was crazy talk because I have an elaborate electric toothbrush system and I wouldn’t want to electrocute myself. I brush and rinse my lenses before the shower, so that only deodorant and hair goo are left to do after the shower.

However, I have been known to start Listerining before the shower and continuing that into the shower, spitting down the shower drain after the requisite 30+ seconds.

I went crazy talk. I do multitask some things but those are two I never even considered doing together and I doubt I ever would. I like to watch as I brush to keep track of my teeth/condition and I try to floss as well so it just makes no sense to do it away from a mirror and in a place where flossing would be tougher than it already is for me.

Yes do it always

Not me. My shower is in the bathtub, and the bathtub is next to the sink. If I leave the toothbrush on the edge of the bathtub, it’s within arm’s reach both when sitting in the shower or standing in front of the sink.

Not exclusively, but yeah. There’s a swanky electric toothbrush by the sink and a regular toothbrush in the shower.

The pee will wash it down.

To the OP, I don’t but I’m not “hell no.” I just don’t. I have in the past.

I usually shower in the mornings and brush my teeth in the evenings. That said, I do usually face into the shower when brushing my teeth, rather than facing the mirror, so I don’t get tiny toothpaste splatters on the mirror (of course, I then get them in the shower instead, but they don’t matter there).

Sounds like something I would do, just never occurred to me.

I answered Hell no, but I don’t feel that strongly about it. So you’d keep a tube of toothpaste in the shower? To rinse you’d have to fill your mouth up with shower spray? Seems inefficient.
