When did Pasteruella become Yersinia?

When and why did *Pasteruella pestis *become Yersinia pestis?

From here

The article has some details wrong. The genus Pasteurella wasn’t named by Yersin, but by Trevisan in 1887, after the microbiologist Louis Pasteur.

And although Alexandre Yersin first isolated the plague bacterium in 1894, he wasn’t the one who described it. That was done by Lehmann and Neumann in 1896, who assigned the organism to the genus Pasteurella as P. pestis.

In 1944 van Loghem decided that P. pestis was sufficiently different from the other members of Pasteurella to deserve its own genus, which he named Yersinia in honor of Yersin.
