When did we all agree that "DELIVERED" means "LEFT SITTING ON THE GROUND NEAR YOUR HOUSE?"

So apparently this morning “Delivered” for me meant dropped at my neighbor’s door. I live in apartment building so I was looking everywhere for this “Secure Location” the Amazon driver may have dropped it. The last option was… hey my neighbor has a number of packages at his door, lemme just check the addresses… and there it was (I’m just glad they didn’t open the door at that second… would have been awkward to explain).

Sorry to revive this zombie, but I couldn’t resist.

The Hope Diamond.

Smithsonian mineralogist George Switzer is credited with persuading jeweler Harry Winston to donate the Hope Diamond for a proposed national gem collection to be housed at the National Museum of Natural History.[51] On November 10, 1958,[17] Winston acquiesced, sending it through U.S. Mail in a box wrapped in brown paper as simple registered mail[14] insured for $1 million at a cost of $145.29, of which $2.44 was for postage and the balance insurance.[14][52]

Before DeJoy.
