When did you stop having the "test dream"?

Bow chicka, bow bow…

I don’t think the test dream necessarily has much to do overall with actual tests or schooling - I’ve never had much test anxiety to speak of in waking life. With me the “dream test” is always some class I signed up for and somehow forgot to attend all semester, so that I can’t usually find the classroom, or can’t remember the date of the final, or can’t comprehend the final if I can get there because I’ve never even been to the class once. It’s more of a frustration, confusion, “where am I supposed to be and what am I supposed to be doing” dream.

Me too. I got my MLIS in '99 but they still happen–usually I’ve forgotten to go to the class all semester, or totally failed to do any of the homework. It’s always for a specific class, like astronomy or Chinese or something. (I’ve never taken Chinese, but I’ve had dreams about taking the final exam. Not for Russian, though, which I did take.)

My DAD still has them. I think they last forever.

I’m 60 and still have my version of the class/test dream every once in a while. (High School.) Not quite a nightmare, but a very unpleasant “stressful predicament” dream.
