Minus the insulting bits, I’m with Clothahump on this one. Pope Francis is a diplomat and a gracious person. It’s clear that he was putting Melania at ease.
I have seen nothing in Francis’ history or demeanor to suggest that he would ever publicly ridicule a guest.
