When It's Night Time In Azeroth....

Nava, Rammstein???

That’s GOTTA keep you on your toes, huh? Been thinking about playing the LOTR soundtrack myself, but feel kinda awkward about it.

Jayjay, I think I got the name wrong, but it’s supposed to be a mine - very hard to find, though…

The maps: I don’t like 'em. They need more work. I have no idea where I am half the time and I get lost really easily in real life too…:frowning:

Still going to Cairne and getting into my Orc-Suit hoping to see some of y’all, but haven’t run into any Dopers as yet…

Thanks

Fargodeep. One of the two in Elwynn Forest.

Speaking of… do any of y’all have that gaming keyboard and is it helpful? Been thinking of getting it and the overlay thingie. Man! I gotta get a whole new computer, I think! This Dell Dim 3K is just barely cuttin’ the mustard…

AH! Okay. I forgot about that one…I was thinking “He’s not anywhere NEAR high enough level to do Blackrock Deeps yet!”

Okay, finding Fargodeep is actually pretty easy, Quasi. Head west out of Goldshire. Follow that road to the near the bridge. There will be a farm to your left. Go to that farm and get the quest from the one woman (the other quest won’t be available to you until lvl 6, so don’t forget to come back and visit the other woman then). Then keep going east from the farm. There will be a big old hole in the ground to your left, eventually, a kind of canyon. Fargodeep is back in there. Mind the kobolds! Also, the quest chain the woman at the farm begins will eventually lead to you going down into the mine, so you might want to hold off on exploring until you have more than one reason to go in.

There is also another quest to pick up from the vineyard just beyond the canyon. Go to the westernmost building in the vineyard and there’s the daughter…she starts a small quest chain for you, also. If you have trouble finding the person she sends you to, he’s directly south of the first farm, on the closer bank of the stream.

Thanks , jayjay! That helps a bunch!

You DID grab the other kobold quests in Goldshire, right? The one guy next to the trade vendor on the road gives you a quest to gather gold dust from the kobolds, and the alchemist in the inn wants candles. Both of them will drop randomly when you kill a kobold if you’ve got the two quests. Make sure you grab both of them now, or you’ll have to go back and kill even MORE kobolds to get them.

Yes, I did the Vermin, Laborers, and Workers. I knew about the dust, just haven’t gotten there yet. (Fell asleep while playing - got it bad, don’t I?)

Thanks

Q

Believe me, I know it!

But I wasn’t talking about the kobold quests in Northshire (the area where you were first “born”). Fargodeep Mine is overrun with kobolds, and there are several quests you pick up in Goldshire having to do with them. You got the gold dust one. There’s also a man in the inn at Goldshire who has one where you get candles from them, also. Check that out before you get too far away from town.

(This is way more fun than working, isn’t it? :D)

Ah! Okay, gotcha. Goldshire not Northshire. Thanks.

And if I could play at work, I’d probably get fired,** jayjay**. :)As it is now, anything to do with “games” is automatically blocked, as is eBay. And that’s probably a very good idea, as I have a jones for vintage guitars.

Heh…they’d have to get my attention to fire me, which would be quite a job in itself if I could play WoW at work.

I meant “isn’t TALKING about WoW more fun than working?”

Oh yeah! I** love** talking about WoW!

Matter of fact, I was wondering if there’s a magazine dedicated to the game? If not, then lets start one, jayjay!

I could host the “Beginners’” section!

Clobberin’ time! (Vile Familars in Cairne)

BTW, I must be the poorest Warrior in Azeroth. No gold, and always just scrapin’ by! I can’t believe people are actually begging for “money” in my realm!

What does that say about them in “real life”?

The best advice I can give you right now is to take herbalism (you can pick it up at Sen’jin Village east of the Valley of Trials). At the moment, with the new tradeskill that just came live on last week’s patch, herbs are selling for obscene amounts on the Auction House across the servers, as far as I can tell. I’ve made at least 100 gold in the last week on beginner herbs alone.

With the instability of the servers lately, I’ve been playing toons I haven’t touched in over a year. I forgot how much fun it is to play a 60 shaman…and I got my troll doll on another server her dino.

jayjay, you ROCK, and I don’t understand even a smidgeon of what you just wrote:D.

I am saving all your advice in my WoW file though, because I cannot trust my memory.

Auctioning and selling/buying herbs…

Won’t be long before one of those characters starts an Amway upline!!!

LOL!!!

“Toons”? Are you SO advanced that you no longer have to move your characters with the keys and the mouse??? WOW!

I haven’t had this much fun since I bought my first ATARI and played Space Invaders!

Thanks,** jayjay** and everybody for the help and advice!
