When Pope John Paul II becomes a Saint, what will he be called?

No, that would be Pope John Paul 3.14159 . . . .

When come back bring piety? :smack:

Not to pick on you and your informative post, Polycarp, but this is one of my pet peeves. A man is (original name), a woman is née (maiden name). If you are engaged to a man, he is your fiancé. If you are engaged to a woman, she is your fiancée.

You think that’s bad? What if you have a vision of two holy men, and one of them says “I’m St. John, and he’s St. James”. How would you pick them out of this list? (catholic.org)

What makes it even worse is that Jan = Jean = John, and Jacob = Jakob = Jacques = James (= Diego!)

Any truth to the rumor that Father Guido Sarducci has been appointed Devil’s Advocate?

Pope John Paul II himself got rid of the Devil’s advocate position in 1983, so unless Pope Benedict XVI is planning to restore the position I’d say no.

Well Benedict is a traditionalist.

I was thinking about this as well- considering she sought treatment prior to the miracle of her healing, I would think it would be simple to do some tests.

Any docs want to weigh in, here or elsewhere?

Dead.

Spontaneous remission does happen. That would be perceived as a miracle. The remainder of my post I shall leave as an exercise for the reader.
