When should I opine on what people want to eat?

I’ll point out that in the “Lost $2000 on Friday at the casino” thread one hell of a lot of people basically accused that OP of being a gambling addict. And repeatedly badgered him about whether he in fact knew how much money he must have been losing through his terrible habit. Over and over and over and over.

To the other side, I was surprised at the number of people who told me that alcohol couldn’t possibly taste bitter to me because it didn’t taste bitter to them. One person even opined that this was a belief of mine, lol.
