When the new Pandemic Starts...

Blame me!

Sitting inside a Ruby Tuesdays tonight in Atlanta, GA I sneezed all over a Taiwaneze pilot whom, apparently makes a lot of trips between the states, including Alaska, Taiwan, and mainland China. I’ve been sick for about a week, this is how the pandemic starts, this is the way the world ends, this is the way the pandemic starts, not with a bang, but a sneeze all over an Asian guy’s face!!!

My favorite line from Stephen King (you know the book): He left the sweet thang that waited his table a dollar tip that was crawling with death.

Get ready for a time traveler to come back in time and kill you.

whimper

I’m so glad, at this moment to be a germaphobe. If I weren’t a insomiac I would sleep better tonight.

My grandfather was lucky to survive the flu pandemic of the early 20th century. He told me about being in Kansas City in 1918, seeing trainloads of sick soldiers coming into the train station. He said the hospitals ran out of rooms. The owner of the boarding house where he was living was caring for a sick relative. So the flu was all around him but he luckily never caught it.

pool, your Delta Tau Chi name is Vector

There goes my trip to Madagascar!

That’s OK, the Walkin’ Dude can find you wherever you are.

Today’s winner! Well done.

ps: I** KNEW** Ruby Tuesdays would be involved, somehow. . .either them or Sizzler. . .

They’ll probably just harvest his sputum and synthesize a vaccine from it.

I had an interesting conversation online with someone who stated that no one has ever died from the flu. I gently pointed him towards 1918. And then I not so gently told him that my otherwise very healthy cousin died last year from the flu.

Loach, how can anyone be so stupid as to say something like that? They sound like Holocaust deniers or moon-hoaxers.

Damn you, pool! (Shakes fist in the air.)

Haha I was hoping nobody would remember, must go into hiding!

Wow! Patient Zero, right here on the SDMB!

Gee, can I shake your hand?

Get him!!!

They’re two years old. “I didn’t personally experience it, therefore, it didn’t happen!”
