When was "Basic" released in the US ?

Since we get movies much later than the US, I usually avoid CS like the plague, only reading threads here after doing a search to see what others thought of a movie.

So after watching “Basic” I jumped on SD and searched for it. I only came up with this short thread.

When was the movie released in the US ?

Did it bomb big time ? Is that why so little commentary ?

That link gave me a little bit of insight into why there hasn’t been much discussion of this movie. Looks like a lot of people didn’t like it terribly much.
