When was the last time you heard a kid SCREAMING in a public place?

Today, at lunch at a museum restaurant. Constant loud screamy crying for more than 15 minutes in an echoey, clattery space.

When you eat in a restaurant, you only see what happens in your immediate area. People who work in a restaurant know when something like that happens wherever it is, especially if they’re a manager, and they probably do everything they can to keep it from disturbing the experience for all of the patrons. And the people who clean up can deduce what happened, even if they weren’t there at the time.

ETA: And you’re only there for as long as it takes for you to eat–and maybe chat a little while with your date or your buddies–but the people who work there are often there all night and see lots and lots of people come in and out.

Call her a liar if you want, but I’ve known her awhile and she seems pretty credible. I can’t be more specific about exactly what she meant because I’m not her, but she made the messes sound fairly unreasonable.
