Stupid, stupid question. But I’m in high school and I swear, I already have laugh lines forming. So, when did you get your first sign of aging?
I got my first grey hairs in my teens. I’m 49, and when my hair’s dyed, I get carded for booze. I really don’t have wrinkles. The women in my family don’t wrinkle easily, and I never tried to get a suntan back in the days when it was popular, and I never had a smoking habit.
I was born with a big one down the center of my butt…
I never noticed the arrival of wrinkles. Started getting gray in college, lost hair in my thirties. What really upset me though was when I started sprouting the jungle of grampa hair in my earlobes in my early forties. That was when I realized I was getting old…
I’m 26, and no wrinkles to be seen yet (thank goodness). No grey hairs either, unless you count the strange albino eyelashes that pop up from time to time. I think I have a couple of eyelash follicles that ran out of color.
I started getting white hairs in one eyebrow in my 20’s.
Now they have migrated into the center part of my hair.
The wrinkles began in my 30’s, when they mutated from dimples into lines.
37…not yet.
And my mother who is turning 60 ( I still can’t believe that) doesn’t really, either. What can I say, we have good genes. Or we don’t smile enough, I dunno.
(future wrinkly smilely)
At the ripe old age of 22, I’ve got a serious wrinkle forming between my eyebrows. Apparently, I scowl a lot.
I have the big scowling crease too jacob wrestling and it’s firmly entrenched now that I’m 38. I’m certain it started when I was in my early 20’s.
I’m 35, I smoke, I have some noticeable sun damage on my chest, and I wear contacts so I’m constantly pulling on the skin around my eyes, but I have only one line on my face. It’s on my forehead above my left eye, and it’s from doing this: :dubious: . Otherwise, my skin looks kind of amazing, if I do say so myself. I have some damned good genes.
8 years of smoking (quit a few years ago) and a lifetime of scowling aside, I haven’t got a one at 25. Moisturize and stay out of the sun! That’s my secret.
OTOH, I am already going grey; I used to pluck them but now I like 'em (started around 23). They come in exclusively at my temples.
I started seeing crinkles aorund my eyes in my early twenties (I’m 39 now). When I’m not smiling, they’re not too bad but if you look closely you can see them. I’ve also got the sun damage on my chest and, because I sleep on my side, I wake up with a big crease down the center of my chest that never completely goes away. That started to be really noticable after about 35. I’ve got the between the eyebrows crease that’s there even when I’m relaxed. I’m seriously considering Botox 'cause I look cranky even when I’m not.
But, I’m a very light skinned redhead (not a single grey yet tho’) who grew up in Florida and in the sun. And as my father likes to remind me “Anglo Saxon women sure do age poorly”.
I started getting the occasional wiry white hair when I was about 15 years old, but they’re still very few and far between. I have smile lines (crows feet) beginning to form around my eyes now, but they are very faint. I am now 25.
Another one with good genes. Neither my parents or my grandparents on my father’s side were particularly wrinkly. Plus I stay out of the sun (fair skinned) and I don’t smoke. I guess it all adds up and I’m not looking too shabby at 29.
I don’t think I have too many signs of wrinkles creeping up. But that’s how you get them - they creep. You don’t just look in the mirror one day and say ‘Oh my god where did that wrinkle suddenly appear from!?!?!?!’ It’s more a gradual thing. Less painful that way.
I must be one of the lucky ones, too. I’m 48 and have no wrinkles. I smoke, too. I still have all my hair and only some of it is grey, it’s mostly still brown. That must be why people are surprised to find out how old I actually am.
Last year - at age 28 - a couple of fine lines appeared on my forehead. So far, that’s it. My little brother’s forehead is already much more noticably lined, but he doesn’t use sunscreen much and is as fair as I am, so that explains that.
I’ve had white hairs since birth, which isn’t uncommon in redheads, but I’ve noticed over the last couple years that there are 2 or 3 hairs on my right arm that are white now too. What’s up with that?!
No wrinkles yet, at 33. I’m a bit surprised, actually; I would have thought there’d be a laugh line or two. No grey hairs, either. And the same for my husband, who is also 33.
I had “sneer lines” around my mouth by the time I was in my twenties. Have a streak of gray at one temple since my early forties; gravity kicked in in my mid-forties and now I have some serious jowls and around-the-mouth wrinkles (never smoked; always used sunscreen).
No facelifts for Baby, though: I’d rather have people say “doesn’t she look old?” than “what the hell did she do to herself?!”
When was your first wrinkle?
When my scrotum started showing :smack:
I am another like Lynn. I have a baby face, so I don’t show wrinkles. My hair goes straight to white. I had 3 white hairs at 17, and that stayed the status quo until I hit 29-30, now I have a whole bunch of them individually all over. One is right on my bangs.
I thought I saw the beginning’s of a crow’s foot earlier this year, but there seems to be nothing now.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Suuuuuuuure you are. :):D:)
I don’t have any wrinkles, per se, but the skin around my eyes isn’t as smooth as it used to be. I’m 33.
