When will IE6 go End of Life?

Now that IE7 is out there, I’m curious how much longer Microsoft will continue patching and supporting IE6.
Has there been an announcement?
Does Microsoft have a usual procedure for this?

PS- I know where to find the OS end-of-life, but I can’t find an equivalent for the browsers.

Given that IE7 is only available for XP SP2 and higher, I wouldn’t expect Microsoft to drop support for IE6 before they drop XP SP1.
