My team plays at 1pm today and I cannot see myself watching the very next game because I will be so pissed off and ranting on social media for 3 hours. Now maybe I will be feeling better by 8pm game. But almost never can I watch the very next game if my team loses. Especially today because they will be 0-2 if they lose and I might just be done for the rest of the day.
I’m actually the opposite. If my team wins at 1:00 I typically will go do something else during the 4:00. Watching the late game is necessary therapy if my team loses beforehand.
I’m not a die hard 49ers fan until the playoffs. If they lose I move on to watching the next game if they win I move on to watching the next game. I think it’s due to me being a bigger baseball fan and no single game is that important in the baseball world. Of course since you can go 8-8 and make the playoffs I guess that’s true for pro football too.
Now college football which I like way more then pro every game matters and I had trouble getting to sleep after the Irish lost last night.
Mostly I pay attention to college football and only dabble in pro except for the occasional Lion’s game (when they aren’t yet mathematically eliminated!!!) until December.
After a full game I kind of get burned out on football for the day. Unless it’s the playoffs I don’t usually watch two games in a row no matter who won.
Same here. The Bears are so crappy, I’m not going to watch ANY NFL games this year at least until the playoffs start. I’m focusing almost all my sports powers on the Cubs this year (and a bit on the Florida Gators).
I’m a football fan in general, so watching the Rams lose isn’t going to sour me on the upcoming game. I enjoy watching other teams play, especially if the game is competitive.
